    Texas Star 250 Help

I got a Texas Star 250 (not the killer bee) and I want to convert to a high drive so I can run it with my Stryker 955hp. Any info would be greatly appreciated ,

I am no professional on amps but about they only way is to have someone repill the amp with 2879's. 2290's are not high drive devices.

I would have to agree with Bigmic, the pills used in the 250 line of Texas Star amps are not high drive devices. I have a Magnum S9 and I run a DX500 behind it and I wished that they had made a strait 6-pill amp. I've been wondering how a Texas Star DX 1200 Hotplate (8x2290) would work behind it.

Your best option is to buy an amplifier that can handle the higher wattage from your Stryker radio. This is an example of such an amplifier
http://www.xforceamps.com/item/Strai...e---T600HD-163 You could also run a Texas Star 500 as long as you backed the variable power down on the radio some. There is no way a Texas Star 250 could reasonably or realistically be upgraded to handle your radio.
