    Yes the would work well enough. I have a horizontal dipole on my uniden Washington base and am able to get out about 20 miles on ssb. Good luck with your set up I thing you'll be surprised. kb1dzc. 73

    I have been using a vertical dipole in my attic for over 40 years. I have mine as an inverted "V" to make it Omni-directional.
