no the 29 ltd is all I have confirmed right now, I bet the LX is the same radio as far as the B+ going to the 10.24 oscillator

here is a link to cobras official schematic website, pull up the 29LTD with serial number starting with W and look at the LX version you have, I will bet you they are the same

If you try it, and it works, please let me know so I can post the info online for everyone else.

just got another email from a guy, he has a Philippines 148 GTL side mic .. He says that he put the + of the cap on the center leg of VR5.

he used a 1300uF cap, and said that put the cap on a switch from the front of the radio and it did not have to be re aligned. after the mod.

again, this is untested by me and I can not guarantee the information is correct.

What could cause this not to work? Ive done a few of these but cant get it to work on this radio. I did it as described, pos leg on the unbanded side of d18 and neg leg to ground, circuit ground. So I tried it on d17 and d18 with the caps directly on the diodes and tried the caps either way on both(pos leg and neg legs on either side of diodes) I also tried it with the neg leg to chassis ground as well, while trying the pos leg of the cap on either side of the diodes. I also tried a different cap as well. It had L25 cut in the radio so I thought that was causing it, tacked it back together and it still didnt work. Any help would be appreciated...

Just making sure you know that you won't hear anything. Only the people listening will hear it.
